Who We Are

Culture as the connective fabric of humanity

En Kai Pan is a female socio-cultural cooperative founded in 2014 by Tiziana Sellato, Stefania Bruno, and Loredana Stendardo. Its aim is to merge the diverse expertise of its founding and working members in the fields of research, training, and cultural planning. En Kai Pan’s mission is to foster a system of cultural production and dissemination based on active learning and cooperation, within a vision of culture as the connective fabric of humanity.

What We Do

Discover Naples through theater

Napoli Città Teatro is a platform that promotes conscious tourism for both residents and visitors by creating a new map of the city. It connects major attractions with lesser-known and less-frequented areas and sites through a participatory narrative of the territory. Napoli Città Teatro blends live experiences, such as participation in tourism and theater events, with digital engagement. Through the platform, users can explore the tangible and intangible heritage of the city, access textual, visual, and audiovisual content, and directly interact with the storytelling process. Discover our itineraries and take part in the city’s narrative.

Where We Go

Naples: A City of Theater and Life

Can Naples be told as one great theater? According to theater historian Franco Carmelo Greco, not only is it possible, but the entire urban architecture of the city, as redesigned from the 18th century onwards, was intended to take advantage of the curve of the gulf and the ascending route towards the hills to create an urban amphitheater. Here, both citizens and tourists become spectators and actors in a grand spectacle of beauty. Discover the places of interest in Naples.

Why We Do It

Restoring the value of the tourist experience

Napoli Città Teatro, in line with En Kai Pan’s mission, is built on the principles of valuing individuals, freeing the territory from social and cultural fragmentation, isolation, and limited accessibility to its tangible and intangible heritage. It seeks to rebuild communities through social and technological innovation. Napoli Città Teatro enables people to reclaim the tourism experience as a cultural journey that connects individuals and communities, history and place. Participants can shape their own experiences by choosing different routes, accessing information and specific content, and sharing their perspectives through participatory storytelling tools.

How We Do It

Empowering the territory through culture

Napoli Città Teatro’s itineraries aim to connect the two sides of the city: the lower Historic Center, layered with over two millennia of history from its Greek foundation to the present day, and the upper city, developed on the Vomero hill. The latter is home to the Certosa di San Martino, which houses an extraordinary collection of paintings, nativity scene artworks, ships, and carriages that trace the city’s history. It also features an entire section dedicated to the Campanian theater tradition. Urbanistically, Vomero serves as a vast balcony offering tourists a panoramic view of the city, revealing Naples as a Grand Theater. These two distinct parts of the city are linked by the monumental Pedamentina staircase, which descends from the Certosa to the Montesanto district in the Historic Center, allowing visitors to admire the city and the gulf from different perspectives.
